Founded in Liverpool in 1980.

Lucy Jones Lingerie was first founded in 1980 after she had studied fashion design at Liverpool Polytechnic where she had specialised in lingerie in her final year. She discovered that this sector of the fashion market in the 1970's was very traditional and conservative, so being young, energetic and committed, she decided to inject some youth and vitality into the market.

She took inspiration from vintage pieces from the 1920'3 and 30's, and added her individual design aesthetic, heightened by the use of fashion colours and prints.

The resulting fresh and youthful collection was taken up by many of the best department stores and boutiques in London and across the UK.

"...that year we had a Lucy Jones Lingerie window display in one of the Harrods windows! The same year - 1983, Vogue magazine did a feature on lingerie and gave me a full page spread!"
